Cup in Hand Kickball Leagues will begin play on Friday July 12th. All games will be played at the Softball Complex on Rohlwing Rd. Cup in Hand Kickball is a spin on kickball where all players will be required to play with a drink in hand (does not have to be alcoholic). 12 beers per team will be provided each game. It will be BYOB after that. Players are expected to DRINK RESPONSIBLY. Players must be 21+ to participate. IDs will be checked each game.

The Itasca and Wood Dale Park Districts modified the traditional WIBA format to adhere to COVID guidelines and offer a basketball program that focuses on fun and individual skill development. This program reflects the goal of the traditional WIBA league, which is to promote an atmosphere of fun, teamwork, and good sportsmanship as the players learn basic skills and improve on existing skills. Although game play will not take place, players will practice once a week and participate in individual skills competitions on weekends to win prizes.

A parent or another adult will enjoy time with their child learning the skills, moves, and joy of playing America's most popular youth sport! Emphasis will be on the basic skills of soccer such as dribbling, passing, and shooting; all in a fun and relaxed environment. Age appropriate drills, games, and equipment will be used to help tots develop motor skills, coordination, balance, and listening skills. Does your little one love basketball? This instructional program is perfect for him or her! Participants will learn fundamental skills, basic techniques, and improvement of motor skills required for the game of basketball. Players will use junior sized balls and 8-foot hoops to build confidence. Practices will take place on Fridays and games will take place on Saturday mornings at the Itasca Park District. Participants will be informed of team placement before the first practice. T-shirts will be provided. You may send multiple Goody Grams, just enter in the number of bags you would like to send when asked during registration. This class is designed to help your child recognize their own individuality and body mobility while developing coordination. The time will be split equally between ballet and tap dance. Students need tap shoes, ballet shoes, a leotard, and tights.

These classes introduce students to the basic vocabulary and style of hip hop movement. It's all about a dancer's personal style and expression. This is a high energy class designed for anyone with a passion to move. Students will need comfortable clothing and either jazz shoes or danceable gym shoes.

This class combines many different styles to produce a new modern version of Ballet and Jazz. Dancers will focus on floor work, patterns of movement and self-expression as well as elements of improvisation. Students will need a leotard and footless tights.

Students work on ballet vocabulary, placement, structure, and all around Ballet technique. Students will need ballet shoes, a leotard, and tights.

320558 - Tap/Ballet Classes

Half the class will be devoted to ballet and barre work, while the other half will focus on tap. Dancers will develop basic ballet and tap technique. Combinations in both ballet and tap will be introduced so that dancers can experience putting steps together.

These skills workshops are dedicated to learning and perfecting the topic of the workshop. Dancers will work on growing their technique and will learn tips and tricks on how to master these skills. Reserved for Dance Team Members. 10 dancer max per class.(ER)

Professional magician Gary Kantor now teaches his popular magic class ONLINE. This 45-minute online class teaches children how to perform a number of mind-boggling tricks using everyday household items. Gary will start by explaining the secrets to the tricks, and then both Gary and the children will practice everything in great detail. The children will have a blast as they learn exactly what to say and do when performing in front of an audience. And since this class is online, it can be taken whenever it is convenient for your schedule. And the videos can be watched again and again. Your entire family can even take this class together! Professional balloon artist Gary Kantor introduces a 45 minute online class that teaches children the techniques needed to take plain balloons and transform them into incredible balloon animals (like dogs, butterflies, fish, etc.). By watching these online videos children will create their own balloon animals, with Gary walking them through each step in the process. And this class isn't just for the kids; parents will have a blast if they join the experience. Additionally, you can sign up again since each session makes different animals.
